ULTIMATE ESCAPE – 100 SERIES UPDATE

The mechanical brains of the 4WD Touring Australia operation, Adam Adler of ADM Motors, has been slaving away in the workshop this month.
He’s ensuring that ‘Westy’, the famous 100 Series and centerpiece of the Ultimate Escape prize, is in perfect mechanical order and ready to make some lucky reader’s wildest dreams a reality.
This is a car with some serious provenance, and it’s all set to provide its new owner with many years of flawless service.
Adam’s gone ahead with the fitment of a new alternator, supplied by Ashdown Ingram, and has just returned from the first test drive with the new alternator and turbo hooked up. He reckons Westy is now pulling stronger than ever.
Both rear wheel bearings have been replaced and the rear diff has received fresh oil. The next job on the list is a suspension upgrade and then she’s off to Kaymar to have the new rear bar fitted.
There’s not long to go now until she’s ready to be hitched up with the Pioneer Longreach camper trailer and loaded up with the Quintrex 350 Explorer car-topper and given away to the luckiest 4WD magazine reader ever.
That reader could be you, so if you haven’t already figured out how to maximise your entries, head over here to get involved.
