Escape Media, publisher of 4WD Touring Australia, is enjoying an unprecedented run during this year’s media awards season, this time nabbing the Runner Up gong for Small Publisher of The Year.
The accolade came during last week’s gala 2014 Publishers Australia Excellence Awards held in Sydney, and comes hot on the heels of winning the prized Best Cover trophy in the motoring category at last month’s Maggie Awards.
Now in their 18th year, the Excellence Awards are the preeminent and longest running awards for the print and digital publishing industry recognising outstanding work by both large and smaller publishing companies.
“It’s great news,” says publisher Carlisle Rogers. “Especially as these are the country’s premier publishing awards.
“First and foremost, we have a strong commitment to engage with our audience and inspire them, but it’s certainly nice to be validated by the industry for our quality brand position.”
